SIAL has developed one of the most practical and successful curricula in teaching Arabic as a foreign language. It is a curriculum that has been filtered and perfected through more than ten years of the Institute’s operation.
SIAL offers courses in Modern Standard Arabic, Yemeni Colloquial Arabic, Classical Qur’anic Arabic, Arabic Calligraphy, Islamic Studies, as well as a host of other courses tailored to meet students’ needs and interests. These include courses in medical, political and media Arabic, as well as courses in Yemeni culture.

Our program director will work with each student to ensure that his or her academic needs and goals are met through a tailored course of study. The student can choose either to use the Institute’s own customized study materials, or their own course materials in order to satisfy their university’s curriculum. Additionally, if the student has already purchased or begun studying with a specific curriculum, our instructors will be happy to work with them.
