Intermediate

During this stage, the student will begin to combine learned elements to communicate in the language, handling a broader array of topics. The student will begin to engage in communicative exchanges using more complex sentences, as well as following conversational directions set by partners. The Intermediate level consists of three stages.

Intermediate A

By completing this level, students will be able to understand oral and written passages at normal speed. They will be able to communicate in oral and written simple conversations and understand written texts, and short stories.

Intermediate B

By completing this level, students will be able to communicate their experiences, plans, daily activities, hobbies, and opinions. They will be able to read texts with comprehension about past, present, or future events. They will also be able to compose simple paragraphs using a combination of their acquired vocabulary and dictionaries. Additionally, they will be able to read and understand excerpts from newspapers and television. They will show self-confidence when performing these tasks.

Intermediate C

By completing this level, students will be able to understand spoken and written prose and extracts from various sources. Students will develop the ability to use different tenses to express events or experiences. Students will begin to use more descriptive language to write about events, and should be understood easily by native speakers.
