I hear the house is pretty nice, though I've never seen it myself. Hot water Yes, private rooms Yes.

Odd question:
My wife and I are coming in the fall and getting a 2 bedroom apartment, do these apartments have A: private bathrooms and B: real toilets i.e. not squatters?

You can easily find apartments with private bathrooms, kitchen and living room. It's quite common to have real toilets in western-style apartments.

do the school accomodations have sit down toilets or squat ones?
are the accomodations nice? i know they will be smallish, but they are okay to live in right?

You should be glad to know that there are sit down toilets in the boys house, but only squat toilets in the girls house. Not fair, huh... 

The boys' house is also much bigger and nicer. Big living room on the top floor, a bathroom and a small sitting room on almost every floor. I've never heard any guy complain about the accommodation except the noise on the street.
