Can someone recommend me a reasonably good Arabic to English dictionary?

Thanks

If you are serious (or semi-serious) about learning Arabic, you should get the Hans Wehr dictionary, the only Arabic to English dictionary I know of that uses the three-letter root system. If you just want to know how to say a few words so you can get by on the street, get a pocket-size dictionary which is by the way almost useless for academic study.

There's also this online:

It's supposed to be pretty good. Have a look.

Is this dictionary readily available and inexpensive in Sana'a? Or would it be better to get it before i get there?

You can easily get Hans Wehr in one of the bookshops here, and also cheaper, around $20.
