Muhammad Al-Anasi is the founder and director of the Sana’a Institute of the Arabic Language. Before founding SIAL in 1995, he was the Arabic Language Program Coordinator for the U.S. Peace Corps/Yemen.

He is a professional curriculum designer and educator, and has authored the Peace Corps Yemen Arabic Language Textbook, as well as the Literacy Guidebook for CARE International/Yemen. He has been certified for Arabic Language Testing by the United States Educational Testing Service (ETS).

One of his many achievements was the founding and establishing of the Center for Arabic Language and Eastern Studies (CALES) in Sana’a, where he designed the courses as well as conducted teacher training workshops. Even through he is busy, he always finds the time to talk to students and see that their needs are met.
